This is an extremely rare thing in gaming and to have a company listen to its fans so closely almost feels like you are part of the development team. Just scrolling through the patch notes, you'll see that most of the issues and wishes of the fans that were brought up in forums have been added to the game. Although initially, this game was rather shadow, imbalanced and had its bugs - what it is today is truly and impressive game. Phoenix Point has come a long way since its launch. The newly innovative free aim system completely overhauled the battle mechanics, as the player is no longer set in relying on RNG and actually feels like they are more involved in the process of firing the weapons. This game feels like it was a little too ambitious, especially with the 3 competing factions that you can ally with. Each creepy new creature you meet fills you with anxiety wondering just how dangerous it will be to your men. Unlike most isometric tactical games, Phoenix Point has many levels with constantly respawning enemies, which I personally found incredibly annoying. Each creepy new creature you meet fills Phoenix Point has the vibes of the original X-com, with its spooky sound track and dark landscapes. ![]() ![]() Phoenix Point has the vibes of the original X-com, with its spooky sound track and dark landscapes.
